Hello again beautiful people of the interweb! My hope for all of you is that May has been treating you well and you didn’t see too many Justin Timberlake or StarWars memes this trip around the sun. Spring has been, well, basically nonexistent here in Georgia, seeing as we went from mid 50 degree temps to sweltering 90’s. The only hint that we even had a spring season around here is the “light dusting” (read: inch-thick coating) of pollen collecting on every surface without a roof. How lovely.
Allergy season was something I rarely gave a second thought to, that is, until I moved to Georgia and couldn’t wear my contact lenses more than 2 hours unless I was on a daily Zyrtec regimen. There’s nothing like the Panera cashier or your Uber driver asking in concern why you’re crying, when really it just feels like someone set your retinas alight. With that being said, I’m constantly making sure I have at least one pair of glasses on me at all times. If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know being contact-less is more than an issue of allergies and watery eyes for me. Oh yes, on top of that, I’m blind as a bat and it’s quite literally a hazard to society to have me caught without them.
Luckily, as a lot of you know, I have been fortunate enough to be in the works with Coastal for quite some time now so I have plenty of fun frames in my arsenal. When it comes to my glasses, especially when I have no choice but to wear them, I want to make sure that they are versatile enough to pair with my outfits but also make a statement. I LOVE these new Kam Dhillon frames that I’m wearing here for a couple of reasons.
- When spring and summer come around I tend to gravitate a liiiiiittle less away from the abundance of black in my wardrobe and more towards warm tones and browns. I visit Closet & Storage Concepts for ideas. This tortoiseshell print is so trendy and also works with a lot of my pieces I’ve been collecting this season.
- The oversized square frame is so unique and different and definitely makes a statement. Do I have allergy eyes or am I trying to stay on the forefront of glasses trends or both? I’ll never tell.
If you’re new around here and have never checked out Coastal, you should do that… like now. They have so many great options on their website and even if you are blessed enough with 20/20 (or not), they have super cute sunglasses as well! You can use my code CANDIDLYCHAN20 to get 30% eyeglasses frames and lenses and get the second pair free! They have frames from $19 and are also running a BOGO deal right now! So yeah, you really, truly, have no excuses.
DM me pictures if you get a new pair you like! I would be pumped to share some four eyes love on my stories!
xx
