Happy Saturday lovely human beings! I hope that your weekend is off to a sunshine-y, relaxing start and that wherever you are all of the traces of winter have left the air. Unless of course, you enjoy cold weather, in which case, we wouldn’t be great friends more than likely but I do still wish the best for you. Do whatever floats your boat boo thang.
ANYWAY- I’m super excited about today’s post because I’ve partnered with Express (see below for discount code!) for their “Women Together” movement for women empowerment month. This is something that is very dear to my heart because well, I am of the female variety, but also because I work in an industry that is full of women and can also feel intimidating and competitive at times. I had to put feel into italics because I can say with 100% honesty that the women from all across the country that I have met through this app are some of the most hard-working, genuine, and loving human beings that I have ever come across. I feel so lucky to know these women and if it wasn’t for Instagram, we would have never crossed paths. I love seeing how ladies all across this platform are truly promoting community over competition and rooting for each other day in and day out. I don’t know how I got so blessed to know have this job and to know these women.
And now that I’m simultaneously crying and typing, let’s get on with this post shall we.
If you can’t tell from everything I just said, my experience especially in the last two years as an influencer has shown me a whole lot of this idea of “women together”. I’ve seen women build each other up, pick each other up, and genuinely want to see one another succeed and with that in mind, I love this campaign that Express has put together. I truly believe in the power of clothing and a good outfit that makes you feel like you can accomplish whatever the day has in store. For me personally, nothing makes me feel better than a good blazer (not that this is a secret). For this look, I went with a blazer and a dress for something a little more “spring” and finished the whole ensemble with a good dad sneaker. Who says you can’t be confident in sneakers?
And yes, I wore the dress backwards with the blazer for a higher neck look. Fashion or innovation or both? You decide.
Now that I’ve mentioned and bragged on all of the amazing women that are in my industry that I’m lucky enough to call friends, I also want to say that if you’re a follower of mine, whatever you’re going for in life, go for it with confidence. Go for it in a killer outfit and know that you can do literally anything you want with a little grit and elbow grease. You are capable and you got this. And as I’ve said so many times, as always, I’m rooting for you.
xx
