Hello again friends! HAPPY MERRY MONTH YOU JOLLY FOOLS!
I have zero clue how 10 days of December have already slid sneakily by like the Grinch stealing presents. However, regardless of how fast it’s going this holiday season has thus far been full to the brim with lights and candles and gift buying and Brenda Lee and Bing Crosby and good news and my man Sinatra and my heart is happy. I’m like Clark Griswold this year and I am not one bit mad about it.
With Christmas on the horizon comes an onslaught of gift guides and wishlists and you know, letters to North Pole and all that. I personally think the holiday season is the perfect time to gift people the type of things they won’t normally purchase for themselves on a regular old Tuesday. My wishlist at Christmas almost ALWAYS includes some sort of new camera equipment (guilty) and a good coat. No matter how unfortunate it is, Old Man Winter hangs around long past December 26th and in reality, seems to get stronger up until Spring. Am I sitting here justifying my want for a new collection of coats every year? Maybe. Is at least one good coat absolutely necessary? Of course.
Being the little Santa elf that I am this year, I have been loving all things plaid (disclaimer; I love plaid for sheer fashion purpose too not just for the sake of Christmas). This coat that I snagged from YOOX is probably my favorite of all time, scouts honor. I’m obsessed with the print and color, the tie-waist, and also the double-breasted front.
