Happy almost weekend, humans of the internet! I’m coming to you today with a launch announcement that I’m so insanely geeked about (does anyone say that anymore?). The new line Clover & Sloane just released and it is full of cool dresses that I adore. Because while we all love a good tee and jeans day, I find it nearly impossible to pass on the chance to wear a perfectly flattering dress. Don’t you agree?
This line is full of fun prints, colors, and silhouettes, which pretty much guarantees every searching gal will find one she loves. Yep, that’s right- I’m looking at you girl. I was personally drawn to two neutral hued beauties (shocking, I know) and I couldn’t be happier with my selections.
This first style (Mulberry) has all the makings of my favorite flavor of day dress. I love the way the floral print stands out on the light material and it flows like a dream. As per the usual, I chose to edge it up a bit and accented the look with pops of black. I’m well aware that was a contradictory phrase, as black hardly “pops”, but just go with it, okay? The easiest way to add a chic, cool-girl vibe to an otherwise feminine dress (in my humble opinion) is to add a thick pair of combat boots, which I did, along with a black belt and baker boy. Whew, I just can’t get over it. This whole look is my jam right now.
Secondly, I wanted to dip my toes into something a little more sleek and evening ready. My favorite thing about this Bowery dress is the singular sleeve that creates the chic angled neckline. I’m all about good collarbone exposure (Kendall Jenner, where you at?) and this dress has all of those vibes. Add a slicked back hairstyle, big earrings, and a to-die-for sock bootie and you’re date night ready. I’m all for a new twist on the classic LBD and this one has definitely earned a coveted top spot in my closet. Who says you can’t play favorites?
These dresses are so versatile and well made and I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on them and rock them for yourselves. There’s something empowering about stepping out in a contemporary, trendy piece for the day and this Clover & Sloane line hit the nail on the head, if I do say so myself.
