Well y’all, a 22 year old is typing to you now. Don’t you feel the newfound maturity and wisdom of another year oozing through your screen? Do you hear that T Swizzle anthem playing faintly in the background?
No? Me either.
Birthdays are a funny thing to me because it seems to be one of those things that gets such a build up and then you really don’t feel any different after. The phenomenon reminds me of like, prom (or what do the kids call it now- praaaaahm?) except I find birthdays much more enjoyable. I just never really have anything to reply to the age old birthday question; well, how does it feel to be (insert numerical value within range 0:100)?
That is, I would have typically answered pretty much the same as (insert numerical value (1:100)-1) until this year. This year, I feel motivated.
I feel like being freshly graduated, a new adult if you will, has made me realize there’s really no sense in waiting to go after the life you want. With that being said, I am taking a lot of time lately to really plan and organize and strategize what I want to do and how I want to get there. I realize how much work it’s going to take and I have never been more willing to put it in than I am now.
So with that being said, let’s talk about some shoes shall we? Since building a career out of this little website is exactly what I want to do, that seemed like a fitting transition. I’ve never been good at those.
As much as I hate to admit it, I am the type of girl who finds 4 or 5 pairs of shoes that she loves and wears them over and over and over again until the fat lady sings and the cows come home. I have recently been trying to step up my shoe game and I have found that the way to do that is to find really cool staple pairs that go seamlessly with pieces I already own. These suede buckle babies from Qupid have the perfect balance of style and versatility. They go easily with all of my black skinny jean outfits and even my newfound obsession with red dresses. I personally think you need a pair too. I don’t mind if we match.
