If you know me, you know how much I enjoy exploring new places. So, you can imagine how much fun it has been for me to explore this new city Trey and I are living in and create new “regular” places to visit. Nothing makes me happier than spending a day in my favorite places with my favorite people- can I get an AMEN? Luckily enough for me, I have teamed up with Hush to bring you just that.
An ideal day for me starts in one of my favorite coffee shops tucked in the Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta. The shop is called Chrome Yellow Trading Co. and it is one of the coolest little places I have found. I am the type of person who is very affected by my surroundings (hence my anal aesthetic following on Instagram) and this place is just SO my style. Trey and I made a pact to spend weekend mornings trying new breakfast and coffee places each week and this one is definitely a go-to for me. Since we are new to the city we spend a lot of time just “wandering”, if you will, and a dress like this white shift from Hush is absolutely perfect. They have so many great go-to pieces available right now. I threw on this camo jacket with it for a little bit of edge because as you all know, I tend to stay as far from “girly” as possible.
After an afternoon spent running around and probably stopping at the Coca Cola museum (you guys, we just can’t stop- that place is so cool), I love to catch a sunset at the absolute best place to do so in Atlanta- the Jackson Street Bridge. To all of my sunset chasers, bloggers, photographers, and sight seers alike, THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE FOR SUNSET. Take me seriously. You cannot beat a full skyline sunset… unless you are in Mallory Square in Key West but those aren’t quite as easy to get to. But be forewarned- if you are in the area and planning to catch one of these bad boys, get there early. There are always tripods and people staked out well before the sun hits the buildings so you’ll want to get a good spot.
If you haven’t already noticed, I did step out of my comfort zone a little with this red dress for these sunset photos. *gasps from the crowd* A color?!?! I know, I know. I have been SO into red lately and I’m not sure why but hey, a little color is fun every once in awhile right? And this dress is one of the most comfortable I own and I plan on wearing it all summer long. You can’t beat that.
I am so looking forward to discovering all of the hidden corners of this city, especially with my very best friend by my side.
